Voice Secretary iPhone App Review
Price: $2.99 Score: 8/10 Category: Business
Do you ever go through the day wishing that there were two of you, just so you could keep on top of everything? Voice Secretary Premium, developed by G Power, lets you act as your own personal assistant.
The iPhone app allows you to create voice reminders for yourself (is there anything quite as arresting as the sound of your own voice being projected back at you?) If you have a tough time keeping your schedule neat, this app allows you to quickly add reminders or events to your calendar.
The latest version of Voice Secretary (Version 4.1.1) came out on June 4th. With this version, a problematic crash bug has been addressed, along with several other minor bugs.
With better stability added to a cocktail of great features, this app is definitely worth checking out if you aren’t happy with your current calendar reminder system. But penny pinchers, this might not be the iPhone app for you, despite its clean interface and wide array of features. If you have Siri on your phone, this app might just be too redundant for your taste.
That being said, Voice Secretary has a couple of advantages over Siri. While they two things have similar functionality, Siri can’t provide users with voice memos attached to Calendar appointments, nor can it facilitate emailing those same voice memos to your email contacts who are going to the same events as you.
Overall, the design of the iPhone app is very streamlined and slick, making it a breeze to use from the get-go. With the ability to backup your audio data to your PC, Dropbox or iTunes through Wi-Fi, as well as a NAG setting (to repeatedly remind you of important items on your to-do list), this app may be the silver bullet you’ve been looking for when it comes to voice-based reminder apps.
Voice Secretary Premium is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad. Requires iOS 4.0 or later.
