Samsung has just sent out its media invites for the Galaxy Unpacked 2015 event where the Galaxy S6 and a purported Galaxy S Edge will be unveiled. The invites sent out contained a teaser that showed something curvy that denotes a possible curved screen on the upcoming flagship. However, despite the event just around the corner, there is still no confirmation about this design innovation from Samsung.
What has been revealed though is that Samsung will make the Galaxy S6 available in different color options. According to SamMobile, the Galaxy S6 and the alleged Galaxy S Edge will be available in four colors namely dark blue, blue-green, gold, and white.
Out of these four colors, the blue-green variant is something that we have not seen in the past flagships. On the other hand, the dark blue variant is expected to look like the Galaxy A5, which has a mix of dark blue and black colors on the front and the rear sides. Gold and white variants are quite standard when it comes to Samsung Galaxy smartphones. What’s missing is a black variant, which we have seen in many Samsung Galaxy devices in the past.
Which one do you prefer?
For those who are expecting funky colors from these smartphones, Samsung is not coming up with anything yet soon. Although in the past, Samsung has released funky colors a few months after the release of the devices. This can also happen on the Galaxy S6 and the alleged Galaxy S Edge.
Rounding up the rumors regarding the Samsung Galaxy S6, we expect that this flagship will arrive with a 5-inch or a 5.2-inch QHD Super AMOLED display, Exynos 7420 SoC with a 64-bit octa-core CPU, Mali-T760MP6 GPU, 3GB or 4GB RAM, 32GB ROM, a 16-megapixel or a 20-megapixel rear camera, 5-megapixel front-facing camera, and LTE connectivity. Rumors also say that it will feature a touch-based fingerprint sensor.
The Galaxy S Edge might have a display that curves on both sides of the device.
