As the latest release from Samsung settles into the never ending stream of smartphones, it is rumored that Samsung has already begun development on their next major release, the Samsung Galaxy S9. If the rumor is to be true, this would imply that Samsung has begun productions 6 months earlier this time around, compared to last years schedule for the Samsung Galaxy S8.
An anonymous inside source states that,
Since late last month, a display team for the S9 has started the development work with aims to supply samples from mid-April. About a month after the display, other key parts such as modules are expected to be developed in phases.
In addition, the source suggests that Samsung can initialise the production of the Samsung Galaxy S9 early. This is in light of the fact that the organization has extraordinarily enhanced its control of the standards of quality it releases. After the devastating end and discontinuation of the companies, battery exploding Samsung Galaxy Note 7 episode saw Samsung make major improvements to it’s testing and development phases.
The incidents with the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 had even forced the smartphone giant to delay its release for their launch of their Samsung Galaxy S8 smartphone. Therefore, Samsung has been forcefully motivated to recover quickly and prove to the world that the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 episode was a one-time mistake. Going forward, there is no way Samsung will allow for a fault such as that to ever happen again.
Moreover, the Samsung Galaxy S9 early production, if true, could only mean that Samsung wants more time to make sure their next flagship release is next to perfect and hopefully forgetting the incidents and complete chaos that came with the mess of the Samsung Galaxy Note 7.
