VPN softwares provide an easy way to gain access to services that are not available in one’s country. However, they can be pricey and at times just don’t offer bang for the buck. Sure, there are tons of freemium apps on Android, iOS, Windows, and Mac platforms but most of them turn out to be crap, trial versions or just fake rip-offs which don’t actually work.
Surprisingly, the web browser maker Opera has added VPN directly in the browser. New versions of the Opera browser on all platforms come with the ability to change user’s virtual location. The new browser is a straight up upgrade from the previous version, hence there’s no new naming strategy on the desktop platforms (Mac/Windows).
Must Watch TV Shows
So no more of fiddling around with crappy VPN softwares to access Netflix of other countries. If you are from outside of the US, then by connecting to the American server you can watch top shows like ‘How I Met Your Mother’, ‘Homeland’, ‘The Walking Dead’, ‘Mad Men’ and also you get to watch movies that are only available on the US version of Netflix like ‘Skyfall’, ‘The Hunger Games’, ‘The King’s Speech’…this list goes on.
Well, Netflix is the most talked about service and also the most used (lol) but there are also other great streaming services like Hulu, HBO Now (Yay! Game of Thrones), YouTube TV which are not available in many countries across the world. With Opera VPN, immerse yourself in some of the best TV shows ever created like Westworld, Silicon Valley, Better Call Saul, The Newsroom, etc.
On the smartphone side, Android has received a new app named Opera Touch which is a browser with bare minimum features. The plus point of that being: fast. It’s insanely quick to open the browser, the pages and hell even the content. Sadly though, there hasn’t been any news on the iOS equivalent app and also Opera Touch doesn’t come with inbuilt VPN.
