Apple has released an iOS security update built to fix the PDF vulnerability that was first discovered nine days ago. JailbreakMe.com used the error in coding to easily jailbreak iOS devices via Apple’s Safari web browser.

This update looks to prevent hackers from maliciously accessing iOS devices and confidential user data.

If you’re looking to be shielded from the vulnerability, simply fire up iTunes, plug in your iOS device, and download the most recent update. For those using a GSM iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPad 2, iPad, or iPod Touch, be sure to download the 4.3.4 update. Verizon CDMA iPhone 4 users should be on the lookout for incremental update 4.2.9.
