As expected, Apple is preparing to patch the PDF exploit behind JailbreakMe.com. While JailbreakMe.com, which reached 1,000,000 users just yesterday, uses the exploit to bypass and jailbreak iOS firmware, the exploit could be used to maliciously access user information.
When asked about the exploit Thursday, Apple spokesperson Trudy Miller clarified the company was aware of the malevolent issue.
Apple takes security very seriously. We’re aware of this reported issue and developing a fix that will be available in an upcoming software update.
The patch will most likely come in the form of iOS version 4.3.4.
