Following on from the seeding of iOS 5.0.1 beta to developers last week, the official iOS 5.0.1 update is now available for public download. The upgrade contains a number of improvements, the most important being the fixing of a well-known bug affecting battery life on the iPhone 4S.
This update contains improvements and other bug fixes including:
– Fixes bugs affecting battery life
– Adds Multitasking Gestures for original iPad
– Resolves bugs with Documents in the Cloud
– Improves voice recognition for Australian users using dictation
iOS 5.0.1 (build 9A405) is available for iPhone 4S, iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, 3rd and 4th gen iPod Touch and iPad 1 and 2. The update is available for download through iTunes or as an over-the-air update
