Appular has announced the latest update for their popular puzzle game, Push Panic. The app, ranked as one of the “Top 25 Apps of 2010” by Metacritic, now sports full iPad compatibility as a universal app, along with a few other notable changes and additions. As if the four thrilling gameplay modes aren’t enough, the newest version introduces 25 additional levels, a revamped live ranking system and new achievements to unlock through Apple’s Game Center.
In ‘Push Panic’, players attempt to create explosive color coded combinations by tapping the boxes to push the groupings off-screen before the colored squares reach the panic bar. Random power-ups range from chain-links that allow players to combine multiple color strings and generic multipliers to time freezes, bombs, and everything in between.
Adding to the competition are eight fresh achievements for players to earn as they obtain more than 75 gold medals in an attempt to outrank opponents. Push Panic now features a more manageable, remodeled ranking system — along with phenomenal social network integration.
