Featuring bright and colorful cartoon graphics, 100 challenging levels and a ton of replayability, Burn it All – Journey to the Sun is a must-have game for puzzle fans.
From developer BulbyPix, and built for both iPhone and iPad, Burn it All is dead-easy to play. Simply drag the game’s firey little character, Pyro, onto the end of a rope to start each round. The object of the game is just as simple – to burn all the ropes as fast as possible – but that objective becomes deceptively difficult as you reach the later levels. You’re awarded a score based on the time taken to complete the level, with three gems indicating a top performance.
The further you progress through the game, the more challenging it becomes, with the addition of multiple ropes, ropes that burn at differing speeds, obstacles, knots, enemies and more. Some puzzles require that pieces of rope burn before you can access other ropes, so the order in which you light the fires is very important. Later levels include icy stalactites that drip water down and threaten to put out your flame, along with the hazards of bombs and gas.
Because the game mechanic is so simple to learn, each level provides that addictive ‘just one more’, and with 100 levels in total – there’s a lot of gaming here. Leaderboards and achievements add to the challenge, with both GameCenter and OpenFeint support.
Burn it All – Journey to the Sun ticks all the right boxes – it’s engaging, easy to play, but fun and challenging to master all the levels. Highly recommended.
