Come Visit Us is an interactive iPhone game for children developed by Glowberry Books. With beautiful hand-drawn illustrations and relaxing music, it’s the ideal way to introduce your kids to the concept of hosting a ‘party’.
To get started – choose 5 guests to invite to one of 3 different party types (Tea Party, New Year’s or Picnic). In the free version of Come Visit Us, only the Tea Party is available. Next you choose 5 dishes for the guests to eat.
The game then takes you to a table setting where there are drawings of each of the guests above five chairs. You simply drag down each character into a chair and then you can start your ‘party’. All the different types of food that you selected can be divided up to the guests by tapping and dragging the a piece of fruit, cake or cheese from the serving dishes on to their plates.
Once the guests have ‘finished’ their meals (they will eat everything you put in front of them), you can choose to take a photo of the party or to play the game again.
Everything at the party table is interactive. You can tap on both the people and the items around the room to illicit a reaction.
The ‘game’ is extremely simple and perfect for kids. Come Visit Us is available for free on the App Store.
