Daily Shopper is an iPhone app developed by myCodeStudio, LLC. This awesome app is the perfect tool for aggregating all of the sale items from daily deal sites from around the web.
I have a pretty bad “deal of the day” addiction. Half of my t-shirts come from deal of the day sites like Woot!, and I do most of my Christmas shopping on similar “deal hunting” websites throughout the year to save money. So I was super excited to try this app, for obvious reasons!
One of the great features about this app is its superb navigational walkthrough. The app is actually well laid out to begin with, but the walkthrough makes set-up super easy to get your bearings. You can easily add every single available daily deal feed, or cherry pick the deal sites you prefer.
You are able to mark deals as a Favorite by swiping a deal and tapping the Star button, making it easy to review them later in the day. Sites included are as follows: 1SaleADay, Daily Steals (including Heist deals), Newegg, eCost, Target, Buy.com, Best Buy, REI, Walmart, Yugster, Amazon, MacMall, Sierra Trading Post, Tiger Direct, and more.
One thing that could use some refinement is Daily Shopper’s search system. You won’t have much luck searching for some broad key phrases in some cases, so you’d better know exactly which item you want to search for.
For example, a search for “wine” turned up zero results, despite the fact that wine.woot was on my list of sites. However, the wine.woot listings turned up when I searched for “case,” since you could buy a case of their current special. Categories, as well as product names, should be searchable.
If you are getting tired of checking all those different sites and sifting through dozens of email newsletters in search of the best deals, Daily Shopper is an attractive app that makes it easy to find deals that are relevant to your interests.
