E FUN’s Nextbook Ares 11A To Debut At CES 2016

E FUN has announced a new addition to its series of 2-in-1 tablets, the Nextbook Ares 11A. The Android tablet will be targeted at budget users and offer power at the affordable price of $219.99 US.

E FUN will be releasing quite a few impressive products in 2016, but the Nextbook Ares 11A tablet is probably the most impressive of the devices that are on deck for the new year. This device is not just your average run-of-the-mill Android tablet, though.

The Nextbook Ares 11A comes equipped with a detachable keyboard, allowing users to use the two-in-one device as they would a laptop, or use it like a traditional tablet. The keyboard is backlit and comparable to full-sized island-style or “chiclet-style” keyboards that most contemporary laptops are equipped with.

Aside from its keyboard, the Nextbook Ares 11A is rather impressive under the hood, at least for its price. The two-in-one tablet will have 2 GB of RAM and a quad-core Intel Atom x5-Z8300 processor, – slow-downs shouldn’t be an issue. The device also sports 64 GB of internal storage space which is expandable by an additional 64 GB with a microSD.

While a two-in-one configuration certainly appeals to users that need a device to work on, the Nextbook Ares 11A can be a fun tablet too. Its HD display is perfect for playing games or watching movies. It also features a miniHDMI port for users that want to project what’s going on on their device to a television set.

For now, E FUN plans on releasing the device with Android 5.1 Lollipop installed out of the box. It is unknown whether the two-in-one will be upgraded to Android 6.0 Marshmallow at some point in the future.

Specifications

The Nextbook Ares 11A might not have the greatest specs of all time, but they are quite impressive when keeping its price in mind. This device certainly has its utilities for the casual or business user on the go. Here is a rundown of everything that the tablet has to offer.

The Nextbook Ares 11A is scheduled for release in the second quarter of 2016 and will retail for $219.99.
