After years of waiting, a native Facebook application for the iPad has finally arrived.
While the iPad launched on April 3, 2010, there has not been a Facebook app developed specifically for the slate.
Yesterday, Facebook announced the release of its official iPad app. The app displays photos that you can flip through like a photo album, groups and lists on the left-hand side of the screen, with messages and notifications at the top, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.
“With the iPad app, you get the full Facebook experience, right at your fingertips,” Leon Dubinsky, Facebook mobile engineer, explained on the official Facebook blog.
Facebook for iPad is available for free from the App Store.
