Flagship Apple Store Coming to Downtown LA

LA's next Apple Store will be more than another glass, stainless and wood temple to the iPhone, iPad and Mac — here comes the next flagship Apple Store

The Los Angeles metro already has 22 Apple Stores, so it’s perhaps unremarkable that the mothership plans to build another. However, LA’s next Apple Store will be more than just another glass, stainless steel and wood temple to the iPhone, iPad and Mac — get ready for the next flagship Apple Store location.

Los Angeles’ Downtown Examiner has had their ear to the ground and claims to know the location of the next flagship Apple Store.

“Rumors swirling are Apple Corp will have a campus in the building with multiple uses such as office space, residential, and retail,” writes the Downtown Ex. “There is also talk of Apple opening up a branch for their recent 3 Billion dollar purchase of Beats By Dre, which is a critically acclaimed subscription streaming music service, which makes the popular Beats headphones, speakers and audio software.”

That said, according to ifoAppleStore, the leading source for Apple retail rumors and insider news, the mothership has been searching the Los Angeles metro for years, seeking the perfect location for yet another flagship Apple Store.

Specifically, Apple is said to be eyeing the Broadway Trade Center, a five story that dates back to 1908 that encompasses 1.1 million square feet. To whit, the already decade public-private “Bringing Back Broadway” project has already refurbished and upgraded hundreds of thousands of square feet of space along Broadway.

That project has delivered numerous high-end restaurants and retailers along broadway — Acne Studios, Urban Outfitters, angelo:HOME, Umami Burger, Om Nom Organics Market, Aesop, Big Gay Ice Cream, Kinfolk Studios, Tanner Goods, A.P.C., 1810 restaurant, and OAK NYC.

The next flagship Apple Store that doubles as hip downtown LA headquarters of Apple’s Beats music streaming service? Sounds like a winner to me…
