When Google released its LG-made Google Nexus 4 and Samsung-made Google Nexus 10 devices to the world on November 13th, it didn’t take long for stock to dry up. All Nexus 4 models sold out in under a half hour, and the only Nexus 10 model that made it through the first day was the 16GB version. About two days later, the 16GB Nexus 10 models were sold out too.

Google Nexus 10 and Google Nexus 4 – How Many Sold?
We know that both Nexus devices sold out extremely quickly, but what about actual numbers? Not surprising at all, we know very little. Some reports say Google had huge stocks ready to go and demand was just at a crazy all time high. Others say that with most markets selling out in hours or less, there couldn’t have been much stock to go around in the first place.
So what is making the devices so hot? First, they have rather high build quality for Android devices. Second, Google doesn’t need to make money on them. The goal is to get more users on its network, taking in ads and connecting into the Google ecosystem. This is why Google isn’t afraid to give the handsets away at extremely low pricing.
