Huawei has just launched its new smartphone, Huawei Y5 Prime 2018 edition. The Chinese company did not make any press release or held an event for the launch. The phone was unveiled very quietly.

This year Huawei is focusing more on its price than profits. It is launching very value for money mobile phones from the start of 2018. Huawei Y5 is just another addition to it.
The phone is likely to have facial recognition, which is available in the Android since ICS days.
Nowadays, this feature is being highlighted and improved. Although, Huawei said that this feature will be available after an OTA update.
Huawei Y5 Prime 2018 specs
The new smartphone by Huawei has a decent pack of specs. It is using MT6737T chipset which is a quad-core chipset. It is clocked at 1.5 GHz.
Y5 Prime 2018 has 2 GB of RAM to handle your daily tasks. Internal storage is set at 16 GB which can be further increased.
You can use SD Card to increase the storage. It supports SD Card of up to 256 GB.
On the front side, it has a 5.45 inches HD+ screen with aspect ratio of 18:9. The resolution is 1440×720.
Huawei Y5 Prime 2018 is running on Android 8.1 with EMUI. There should be an update for P as well, though we are not sure about it.
It has 13 MP back camera to give you good quality photos. On the front side, you have 5 MP selfie shooter.
There is no fingerprint, which is a drawback and maybe a deal breaker. Though it has the facial recognition, yet it is not accepted by most of the people.
The battery capacity is set at 3000 mAh, Battery is not removable and there is no fast charging support.
