i-Assure is an iPhone app developed by Virtual Edge 4D.  i-Assure was created to provide a complete solution for cataloguing your home contents, which is a huge help in the event of a catastrophic fire, flood, earthquake, hurricane, or other natural disaster.

i-Assure securely stores your data in the cloud. On your phone, you can organize your house information by category, or by which insurance company is covering which items.

One feature that I thought was really cool was i-Assure’s ability to let you mark items as “loaned out.” By marking who borrowed your belongings (and on what date), you can know which items were lost for good and which items were held with friends. Even if you don’t want to keep a catalog of your stuff for insurance purposes, you should download this app as a way to monitor who borrowed your copy of “Avatar” or which neighbor currently has your hedge trimmers.

There really is a lot of peace of mind when you use i-Assure. You can secure your data with a PIN, and also restore your information in the event of damaged or stolen device. It’s a great looking app that is super-easy to navigate. I really liked the fact that you can also sort your items based on whether you have a warranty, serial numbers, or image associated with the particular item.

The media keeps saying that our natural disasters are getting more intense and more frequent. If that’s true, then i-Assure is a must-purchase app if you want to keep your insurance information hidden away in a place where no storm can ever touch it. Be ready in the event of a natural disaster with this handy app: it stores a list of all your items (along with their value), as well as the contact info for your insurance companies.

i-Assure is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad. Requires iOS 5.1 or later. This app is optimized for iPhone 5.

Developers Note: Please note that not every insurance company accepts digital records only. We suggest you consult your insurers conditions prior to making this app your primary contents insurance vault.
