iGaming: Games With The Lowest RTP

iGaming

When you play in an online casino, you naturally want to get the most out of your money, and at least have the best chance of getting your money back. For that, it is a good thing to understand what dictates how much money gets brought back to the players and how this system works. This is called RTP, and you must know which games have the lowest RTP.

When trying to find the best casino games, one of the factors you need to consider is how much is the RTP of the game. The lower, of course, the more you should think twice before playing on it. With that in mind, here are some of the casino games with the lowest RTP rate.

Games with the lowest RTP

Some casino games may offer colorful or eye-popping graphics, but do not let the visuals fool you into ignoring what is hidden under the surface. Here are some of the games with the lowest RTP rate:

What is the Return To Player Rate?

The RTP or the return to player rate is the statistical amount of money given back to the players as opposed to a certain number of bets. In simpler terms, it is the X amount of money given back for every X amount of money wagered. However, this is computed on a long-term basis and not per wager. This is also sometimes called the payout rate, the expected return, or the payout percentage of the game.

An example is a game with an RTP of 97%. This means that for every $100 wagered on the casino game, $97 of it would come back to the player. However, since the RTP is computed in the long run, it does not mean that an individual player would get $97 out of every $100 that they bet on a game. The RTP is calculated from the overall money collected over some time.

The difference between the total amount collected by a game and the RTP amount if called the house edge. Some people call it the “juice,” the “vigorish,” or simply the vig. This is the amount of money that the casino gets to keep as their earnings.

Slot games often have an RTP rate of 92% to as high as 98%. In some rare cases, some games claim to have as high as 99% RTP. However, determining which are the best slot games is not simply about the RTP. Other major factors need to be taken into consideration when it comes to evaluating slot games.

What is Hit Frequency?

Hit frequency refers to the rate or the chance that a slot game would stop at a winning combination. Although online slots are controlled by a random number generator algorithm, there is a preset chance for a winning combination programmed.

For example, a slot game may have a hit frequency rate of 7%. This means that for every one hundred spins done in the game, only one spin would stop at a winning combination. The other remaining 93 spins would stop at randomly generated combinations that are all not winning ones.

In casino slang, games with a high hit frequency tend to hit jackpot at a faster speed and thus called as “loose” slots. On the other hand, those with a lower hit frequency mean that hitting the jackpot might take a long time, and thus it is called a “tight” slot.
