iPhone price competition? Who would’ve thunk! Just a few weeks before the arrival of the iPhone 5, Apple partners are competing to offer the best iPhone 4S deals and, as of today, Sprint is the breakaway leader. Yes, you still have to sign on the dotted for a two-year contract, but America’s number three carrier is offering a big, big price cut on the iPhone 4S.
Like other carriers and retailers, Sprint is officially offering the iPhone 4S for $149.99. However, there is a twist — a $100 American Express gift, which yields a final price of just $49.99 and that’s pretty darned good.
Just in case you forgot…
iPhone 4S. It’s the most amazing iPhone yet. The fastest, most powerful iPhone ever. Features an 8-megapixel camera with all-new optics. It records stunning 1080p HD video. It comes with iOS 5 and iCloud. And it’s the only phone with Siri-your intelligent assistant that helps you get things done, just by using your voice.
So, if you buy an iPhone 4S from Sprint sign up for an “Everything Data Plan,” you will the better part of two months of all-you-can-eat service for free. Once again, that’s pretty darned good.
Better still, according to Cult of Mac, brick n’ mortar Apple Stores are matching Sprint $100 gift card incentive. So, not only will Apple match the Sprint (and other’s) $50 price reduction in store, as well as a $100 store credit that one presumes most buyers will apply to the iPhone 4S’ purchase price.
Two quid pros here: 1.) the $100 Apple Store credit only applies when purchasing and activating a iPhone 4S with two-year contract on Sprint, and 2.) this offer is only valid through August 26.
All the way round, this is a very attractive offer with some built-in flexibility.
