Ever since the first iPhone released in 2007, it’s iOS has been a revolutionary innovation in the smartphone industry. Keeping to a simplistic and a more concise operating system over the years. Apple will soon be celebrating its 10th year anniversary in 2017, this year. All those with an iPhone and fans of the flagship alike may have high hopes for the 10-year anniversary release of their latest iOS, the iOS 11 update.
Rumors suggest that the iPhone 5 will not be receiving the update due to compatibility issues. However, to the delight of iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C users, it is believed and suggested that the iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C will indeed receive the update for the latest installment iOS 11. The updates will be announced at the WWDC2017 in June, following a release date somewhere around in September.
Updates to the OS are still yet unknown, however, it is believed Apple will do some minor changes and will add upgrade its voice recognition AI, Siri. Along with that, Apple plans to add a new feature called Dark Mode that will allow users to change the settings and display of the phone making it easy it on the eyes for when viewing at night. This feature, however, could come before iOS 11 even comes out so keep an eye out for those updates.
Another feature that may be included in the iOS 11 update for the iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C will be the in-camera augmented reality allowing users to identify people in real life based on facial image recognition.
Furthermore, another addition to the list of exciting new features for the iOS 11 update for iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C users is that there may be a new Snapchat-like video application being released. Online rumors suggest that Apple will introduce the new application soon.
According to a Bloomberg report back in August 2016, Apple has been developing a video sharing and editing application. The new video sharing app will not only just allow users to record video, but also apply filters and drawings to the media and send it to anyone in their contact list or through to any social media network such as Twitter and Facebook.
Therefore, users of the iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C can get excited for a release of a brand new operating system from Apple with some immensely exciting features. The iOS 11 update will be deployed to other devices as well, and not just iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C. The full list of devices that will receive the iOS 11 update is still yet unknown.
