A new video has come out and appears to show off different colors on the iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C, which are expected to be announced later this year. In the video, a gold, champagne, and blue backing to the phones are revealed. Whether or not these case backings are real is hard to tell, but they do fit right in with the many rumors that have been coming out regarding the iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C.
Two slightly different videos were released from the same source (see below) but discovered by different media outlets. While the colors for the upcoming iPhone 5S and 5C are not of utmost importance, it is still interesting to see how Apple may be changing the devices this time around. Prior to this upcoming generation of iPhones, almost all Apple smartphones have been black or white.
Apple is expected to announce the iPhone 5S on September 10 and may also announce iOS 7 and the iPhone 5C at the same time. The iPhone 5C will be the cheaper version of the 5S and include many of the same features but in a plastic casing instead of metal or glass.
The iPhone 5S will offer minimal spec upgrades from the iPhone 5 and will look virtually the same as the current iPhone. However, it will be launching with iOS 7 which brings an entire set of new features and design changes which has never occurred with iOS before.
One of the few things that it is likely to see a major upgrade is the camera. Various reports have come out stating that the iPhone 5S camera will have a much larger aperture which increase the phones performance in low-light conditions.
Of course, the fingerprint scanner which has been rumored for quite a while could also end up being included on the iPhone 5S. As long as Apple implements the scanner correctly and makes it easy to use, the iPhone 5S could end up selling better because of it.
