The more things change, the more they stay the same. Tapscape has reported extensively on Apple’s 2015 smartphone revisions, the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus. Now, we’re back with details on the iPhone 6s [sic] introduction and ship date.

Yes, boys and girls, the iPhone 6s will be thicker than the current flagship Apple smartphone. It will also feature a much improved 12MP camera (5MP FaceTime), 64-bit A9 chip, Force Touch haptic feedback and, in another notable first, 2GB of RAM.

That 12MP camera will allow 4K video capture, which is a big deal because Apple’s rolling out 4 and 5 K displays across its Mac desktop computer product lines — Cupertino loves to brag their products “just work.”

But, when can we — you and me, myself and I — buy one of these über-advanced Apple smartphones from the future? Given that Apple is a creature of habit, look for CEO Tim Cook to introduce the iPhone 6s on or about Tuesday, September 8 and then ship it in the world’s most-important markets on or about Friday, September 18.

In the past, Apple has introduced updated iPhones during the second (or third) week of September and then shipped ’em usually 10 days later. Granted, nothing’s real until Tim Cook says so, but Apple is a creature of habit…

What’s your take?
