A new iPhone has been leaked in a video received by BGR, reportedly from a trusted source. The video shows an iPhone X like device, however, the size of the phone is tough to guess (at-least for me). Nonehtless, a lot of tech analysts say that the device looks like a new iPhone SE following the iPhone X’s bezeless-notch trend.
The device in the video does seem to have iPhone SE style flat aluminium sides, oh, those amazing chamfered edges from the iPhone 5. I love chamfered edges! The back of the phone sports a dual-camera setup just like the iPhone X, vertically.
The legitimacy of the device is unknown, however, the video does seem to be running a full-fledged version of iOS. Nonetheless, a lot of bloggers are quick to point out that it could just be another Android based iPhone X copy. It shouldn’t be surprising as a lot of Android makers are preparing tons of phones that look just like the iPhone X on the front. The notch started out as a compromise and now Android smartphone makers are turning it into a feature.
Apple is expected to release three major smartphones this year – a flagship phone, succeeding the iPhone X, another being a plus-sized version of the iPhone X, and a LCD-based iPhone but with a bezel-less front (a iPhone 8 and iPhone X hybrid).
To me, the device in the video doesn’t seem like a iPhone SE because Apple usually doesn’t create cheaper versions of its flagship phones anytime soon after their release. In my opinion, its just a fake or its an upcoming iPhone X version.
That doesn’t rule out the fact that Apple is indeed working on a newer iPhone SE. Well, the news surrounding the iPhone SE has been haphazard for sometime now, however, there’s an Apple event right around the corner, an event focussing on education but its plausible that the company will release a newer iPhone SE as well. Apple released the original iPhone SE in March 2016, that’s exactly two years ago.
