Verizon sold more than 2 million iPhones in their third quarter, according to a recent announcement made by the carrier.
This news comes from a report which revealed that Verizon, partnered with Vodafone, sold just around two million iPhones, a 300,000 unit decline in comparison to the second quarter. Verizon’s iPhone sales puts the mobile carrier behind AT&T, who reportedly sold 2.7 million iPhones in their third quarter alone.
AT&T recently reported that it activated more than one million iPhone 4S units, Apple’s most recent device. Verizon did not mention the number of iPhone 4S devices sold since its launch on October 14.
The iPhone 4S is currently available in the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, France, Germany, Canada and Japan. More than one million preorders for the device resulted in higher Apple stocks than ever.
