Alienware Setting New Standards With Alienware Alpha R2

Alienware Setting New Standards With Alienware Alpha R2

When it comes to gaming, there’s the argument of what platform is better, PC or Console? Specifications wise, the majority of people consider a PC better, with higher FPS and much more smoother gaming in general, with a much larger variety of games being available to them as well. However, most of the times, high-powered PC gaming has a major disadvantage in comparison to what gaming consoles such as the Alienware Alpha R2, PS4 or XBOX 360 provides, and that is the vast space gaming rigs occupy around a workspace.

Gaming consoles are much more compact in comparison. Therefore, to overcome this problem, Alienware has released it’s latest product, the Alienware Alpha R2. A console-like device for your PC. No other enhancements needed.

Considering the specifications of the device, the concept isn’t a bad idea, and Alienware has a product that they should be proud of to have come out with. With a processor of Intel Core i7 6700T QC CPU @ 2.80GHz, RAM of up to 8GB including a 1TB HDD and a video graphics card of NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960 w/ 4GB GDDR5. There’s not much Alienware can do to go wrong with the Alienware Alpha R2 with such hardcore specifications.

In addition, the Alienware Alpha R2 is undoubtedly compressed and more compact in size. It is about the size of a Nintendo Wii and is smaller than any mainstream gaming console out on the market, such as the PS4 and XBOX 360. The Alienware Alpha R2 is just 8 inches in width and only 2 inches in height. When considering the front, the bottom left-hand corner is cut with a LED light along each border in a triangular looking shape. To the right-hand side of this, a couple of USB 3.0 ports (4 in total, 2 on the front, 2 on the back) and just beside them is the iconic Alienware logo that of course, glows with a LED light placed within that changes colors.

Therefore, taking everything into consideration, Alienware has a device that could genuinely change and set new standards for PC gaming by making the gaming rigs much more compact in size, while at the same time keeping the processing power the same. The Alienware Alpha R2 does just that.
