I’m just going to get this out of the way right now and say the obvious – HOLY CRAP WE LIVE IN THE FUTURE! Google has released a new Google Glass promo video from Diane von Furstenberg’s Fashion show at fashion week. This isn’t just any old promo video though, the entire video was filmed using only Google Glass! Diane von Furstenberg, several models, and audience members sported Google’s prototype glasses for the event and the result is really cool.

We obviously still don’t know price, release date, or what the interface even looks like, but this video does show us a few cool things. 1st is that Google Glass shoots HD video… and for being as tiny as it is , its certainly no slouch. 2nd it tells us that it will come in different colors. You can see the bulk of the unit is  blue in the screengrab above. Other colors were orange and brown from what we can tell. 3rd , we can tell how much Google wants to make these babies fashionable. They want to make sure this is something that is cool to have and trendy to where. What better way to show that than to put have some beautiful women model it for you?

“Celebrated fashion designer Diane von Furstenberg tried on Glass for the first time a few months ago at a conference that she attended with Sergey Brin. She immediately loved it and they agreed to bring Glass to New York Fashion Week. Diane is a champion for innovation and effortless design, so it’s unsurprising that Glass fit seamlessly into her production. In the week leading up to her Spring 2013 show in New York, and during the show itself, everyone from stylists and models to Diane herself used Glass to capture never-before-seen footage of the creative process. This is the first time any video has been shot entirely through Glass and we’re so excited to be able to share it with you.”

We’re really excited to see get more details of Google Glass over the coming months. This device has the potential to change the way we interact with the world around us in a very revolutionary way. Check out the video below to share in the fun.
