No need to wait for the Xbox 720, Grand Theft Auto V FINALLY coming in 2013

After dreadful rumors that Grand Theft Auto V may be delayed until the release of the Xbox 720, fans of one of the baddest gaming franchises in history should be happy to know that Grand Theft Auto V finally has a release schedule.  Before we get into the details, let’s take some time to stare at the image Rockstar Games sent with the announcement.

Don’t rush. Take the time to admire those curves on that busty girl in the poster. Are you smiling now? We’ll make that silly grin on your face even bigger by announcing that Grand Theft Auto V will be launching worldwide in Spring 2013. Here are the full details straight from Rockstar Games:

“Today, we’re proud to announce that Grand Theft Auto V is expected to launch worldwide spring 2013 for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

“Developed by series creator Rockstar North, Grand Theft Auto V takes place in a re-imagined, present-day Southern California in the largest and most thriving game-world we have ever created set in the sprawling city of Los Santos and for miles beyond – from the tops of the mountains to the depths of the ocean.”

The press release clearly states that the game will be for current-gen machines, quashing any rumors that the game is headed to next-gen consoles like the Xbox 720 and the Playstation 4. However, it looks like PC gamers are left twiddling their thumbs as there’s no mention if they’re included in the Spring 2013 release window. There’s also no word yet on plot or character details so we’ll have to wait a little longer to find out if we’re getting an entirely new protagonist or if Vice City’s Tommy Vercetti will indeed be making a comeback, as some fans have speculated.

Pre-orders for Grand Theft Auto V will begin on November 5, so be sure to mark your calendars. Rockstar Games is also promising more brand new artwork and information in the coming weeks. I sure hope we get more of the sexy lady from the image above.

Glad that you won’t have to wait for the Xbox 720 before you can play Grand Theft Auto V? Do you think this will be the best game in the series? Discuss in the comments below!
