Online Auction Valuer Tells You How Much an eBay Item is Worth

Developed by L Smith, Online Auction Valuer is an iPhone app which is designed to help both buyers and sellers on eBay.

The Online Auction Valuer app provides a price guide for items, giving you an idea of how much the item is worth based on the average and, more importantly, median price for that particular item.

Once you’ve decided what you want to search for, simply enter it into the text field. The app will start performing the search and you’ll need to then select the relevant category before you’re returned with the final result. As a test, I searched for the PS4 on the US ebay.com store and it yielded a median result of $420 and average of $423.

You can tweak the settings to only show results for new or used items, for auctions or buy it now. The app supports sample sizes of up to 1000 recent listings so you will get a fair idea of a reasonable sale price for most items.

Currently Online Auction Valuer only supports 12 countries, but they include the US, UK, Canada and Western Europe.

An excellent tool for price research if you’re planning on selling items on eBay (or in offline markets).

Download from the App Store for $0.99.

Online Auction Valuer requires iOS 4.3 or later. Compatible with iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. This app is optimized for iPhone 5.
