According to the US Playstation Blog, the Playstation 3 super slim has a much more smaller and streamlined design that is “20% smaller and 25% lighter than the current PS3.”
The existence of the Playstation 3 super slim was first leaked back in July and images of the device were first shared by Tecnoblog. The specs described during the official unveiling more or less match what was first shared in the leak.
I’m honestly still a little baffled why Sony would decide to remodel a decade old console when their fans have been clamoring for a completely new console and are expecting it to come out within a year or two. But I have to say, the Playstation 3 super slim redesign is pretty awesome. I can see this thing sitting smugly on any desk or shelf. This could be worth picking up if you don’t own a Playstation 3 already or would like to add a new one to your home.
