Quick Bob: An iPhone Game For The 17+ Crowd

Quick Bob iPhone Game Review

Price: $0.99     Score: 8/10     Category: Games

Quick Bob, developed by Dosware LLC, has a lot in common with the classic line of Leisure Suit Larry games by Al Lowe. And while it certainly ain’t appropriate for people under the age of 17, Quick Bob is a little iPhone game that’s a lot of fun.

Featuring busty gals and a pool hall atmosphere, you play the game as affable Bob. Your friends leave you at the bar to swill beers as they goof off over by the billiards table. There’s plenty of lovely ladies to catch your eye, of course, but there’s one lady in particular you need to watch out for: your wife.

Using four on-screen controls, your job is to maneuver Bob as he sits at the bar: make him duck to avoid those flying billiard balls, eat those flying fish (weird bar food, if you ask us) or help him to reach out and grab a beer (or a scantily dressed lady.) Watch out for policemen and your wife, who introduce red points that can cause you to lose the game.

At first brush, Quick Bob seems like infantile, boob-obsessed visuals dressed up to look like an iPhone game. But thanks to the various levels of difficulty, you can actually get quite a challenging gameplay experience from Quick Bob on some of the higher settings.

If you love an iPhone game with cartoony graphics, mild T&A, and surprisingly amusing gameplay, you might just enjoy Quick Bob. It’s not the most complex game, to be sure, but it’s a welcome departure from the usual family-friendly fare that dominates the App Store.

Quick Bob is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad. Requires iOS 4.0 or later. You must be at least 17 years old to download this app. Quick Bob includes: Frequent/Intense Alcohol, Tobacco, or Drug Use or References.
