I’ll come right out and say it: Ready ToDo, developed by ReadyXtion Team, is a good iPhone app. But Ready ToDo is only on Version 1.0.0, and it does show. As it stands now, Ready ToDo is a bit rough around the edges, and has a long way to go before it’s a truly great app. But for just a dollar, Ready ToDo is a pretty decent to-do list app for your iPhone or iPad.
I tested Ready ToDo on my iPhone 4S, and encountered no issues with stability or crashes. It ran smooth as silk, though that’s not surprising given how stripped down and minimal Ready ToDo is.
There’s actually a lot to like in Ready ToDo for iPhone. It’s easy to review at a glance. You can touch and drag items with ease. You can see up to four different to-do list groups at once. And you can also set alarms to go along with the most pressing items on your to-do list, to help keep you on task.
However, there appear to be some translation issues. Some of the tags and notes (such as “works” and “no due”) make the Ready ToDo app seem a bit slapdash. Additionally, the cancel button is confusing at first, as it functions as both a cancel and a back button while entering new tasks.
Overall, for my taste, Ready ToDo was a bit too stripped down for my needs. Your mileage may vary, however, I personally found it a bit barren and un-intuitive to use.
The bottom line: though it has some issues, Ready ToDo is worth checking out. I wager that in a couple of update’s time, Ready ToDo will be much improved.
Ready ToDo is compatible with iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPod touch (3rd generation), iPod touch (4th generation), iPod touch (5th generation) and iPad. Requires iOS 4.3 or later. A small expedite fee was paid by the developer to speed up the publication of this iPhone app review.
