Thinking of getting a new toy to go with your brand spanking new Samsung Galaxy Note 2? Then you may want to take advantage of this all-new peripheral Samsung has just released for its massive 5.5-inch tablet — the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 Smart Dock.
First showcased at the IFA 2012 in Berlin, the same event where the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 was launched, the Smart Dock is an accessory that seeks to turn the Korean company’s portable powerhouse phablet into something even more impressive — a mini desktop and entertainment center. Hooking up your Samsung Galaxy Note 2 to the Smart Dock gives you access to several useful connection ports that include USB, HDMI and a speaker out. Here’s the product description from Samsung:
“The Samsung Galaxy Smart Dock makes it easy to take advantage your phone’s high-speed internet connectivity and super-fast processor. Connect an HD monitor, external storage device, and USB keyboard and mouse to turn your smartphone into a productivity powerhouse. Make messaging, editing documents and accessing media files a breeze. Plug in your 3.5mm stereo audio components or speakers and you have the ultimate pocket-sized home theater and computer in one.”
The Smart Dock costs $99.99 and is available in white and black variants, both of which should look nice with the Marble White or Titanium Gray versions of the Samsung Galaxy Note 2.
