Samsung is reportedly working on a few tablets to add on its existing Galaxy Tab and Galaxy note lineups. Two of these new tablets are the Samsung Galaxy Tab A and the Galaxy Tab A Plus. Sam Mobile reports that it has new information regarding these two tablets, which we may be seeing soon.

Although the Samsung Galaxy Tab A and the Galaxy Tab A Plus are tagged as mid-range tablets, the latter is known as the first Samsung tablet that is not part of the Note lineup that will arrive with an S Pen, Sam Mobile noted. The Galaxy Tab Active, which was launched recently, came with a stylus but it is more of a C Pen than an S Pen.

Versions and Differences

The Samsung Galaxy Tab A and Galaxy Tab A Plus slates will allegedly be available in two sizes, an 8-inch version and a 9.7-inch version. They will also come in versions that has LTE and No LTE connectivity.

The Galaxy Tab A will have the same specs as the Galaxy Tab A Plus but only the latter will have an S Pen and more RAM. The Galaxy Tab A will have 1.5GB of RAM while the other will have 2GB of RAM.

  • 2-megapixel front camera
  • 6,000 mAh battery
  • S Pen

Both slates are expected to be quite thin at only 7.4mm.
