The Samsung Galaxy Stratosphere 2 has been officially announced by the Verizon Wireless press team in a statement released today. Here’s the full run-down of features:
- Full QWERTY Keyboard
- 1.2 GHz Dual-Core Processor
- 4G LTE
- Android 4.0 ICS
- 4-inch Super AMOLED
- NFC
- Global Ready
Samsung Galaxy Stratosphere 2 is Business Centric with full QWERTY
The full QWERTY keyboard is becoming something of a relic, with even the most dedicated manufacturers switching to fully touch operated devices. Samsung bucks the trend though with a new release of a keyboard device, aimed primarily at business users who are likely still very accustomed to the Blackberry keyboard.
The Stratosphere 2 offers a variety of global business solutions, including built-in VPN, MDM, Microsoft Exchange, and ActiveSync with AES 256-bit encryption. Although the press release states that the device strikes a balance between personal and business, it’s squarely in the business category as far as features are concerned.
No release date has been set, instead a generic “in the coming weeks” was included in the statement. The Stratosphere 2 is priced at $129.99 after $50 mail-in rebate and new 2 year customer agreement.
