Earlier this December, Samsung announced its A3, A5 and A7 phones. Now, after months of speculation, the company has also unveiled the Samsung Galaxy A9 in China. This is a handset that has some decent specifications, great battery and other novelties that alternatives might not include.
The A9 has a similar design to other phones in the Galaxy A series. Samsung designed the A series with all-metal builds, and the A9 has an all-aluminium design. It has an expansive 6-inch display with 2.5D curved glass. It also comes with pink, gold and white colors.
The phone’s storage amounts to 32 GB (gigabytes). But, like many handsets, you can always expand that to 128 GB with the microSD slot. The phone also bags 3 GB of RAM, which is comparable to the RAM loaded with the Galaxy S6.
The Galaxy A9 has a front 8-megapixel camera. The primary camera on the back of the handset has 13-megapixel image quality and supports geo tagging and panorama. You can also shoot video with those cameras at 1080p@30fps.
Fingerprint recognition is something that more manufacturers are incorporating into phones, but is still a novelty. As rumored, the A9 includes a fingerprint scanner on its home button.
The Galaxy A9 also boasts an expansive battery. The phone includes a 4000 mAh battery that should ensure it won’t need recharging so often. Note that this battery is non-removable.
