If you think that the Samsung Galaxy S4 with its 13MP camera has earned for itself the title of being Samsung’s first camera phone, well think again. Samsung might be coming out with another variant of the Samsung Galaxy S4, one that will officially be known as the first camera phone that the Korean company has released. Said camera phone will be known as the Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom.
According to an exclusive report by Sammobile:
The Galaxy S4 Zoom should be Samsung’s first camera phone with a 16 megapixel camera! Samsung used a 16 megapixel camera sensor before on the Galaxy Camera, which Samsung introduced at IFA Berlin last year.
The report continues with the Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom rumors by stating its other specs as follow:
Samsung downgraded the screen size of the Galaxy S4 Zoom to a 4.3” qHD SAMOLED display. The phone self-will have 8 GB of storage, MicroSD up to 64 GB, Bluetooth 4.0 LE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, A-GPS and Android OS Jelly Bean and of course Samsung’s own Touch Wiz Nature UX interface. The processor is likely to be dual-core or quad-core sadly the processor and RAM aren’t finally decided yet.
Now, is this exciting or not? For current Samsung Galaxy S4 owners, will this make you like your beloved smartphone a little less and wish you waited for the Galaxy S4 Zoom instead? Or you don’t mind at all?
For those of us who ignored the desire to own the Samsung Galaxy S4 for whatever reasons, will the Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom, with its better camera features finally make us decide to get the smartphone this time? I’m thinking of making a pass again on this one. If you’re a Samsung Galaxy S3 owner, you’ll understand me if I say that features and specs are not the only reasons why I will upgrade my S3 to S4. A more visual difference between the S3 and S4 will seal the deal for me. Sadly, Samsung is not getting this and seems to be reserving the aesthetic upgrade to the Galaxy S product line, perhaps on the S5 next year.
Still, it’s worth looking out how the Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom will do in the smartphone market once it becomes available sometime in July this year. It will also be interesting to find out how Galaxy S4 fans will take the fact that there will be two other variants of the S4. Samsung has recently hinted that two other Samsung Galaxy S4 variants are also in the pipeline. These are the Galaxy S4 Mini and Galaxy S4 Active.
