A source close to 9to5Mac has submitted an image that appears to indicate that an iPhone 5 is on the way. The image, apparently of Radio Shack’s inventory, features a few new products, including 16GB and 32GB iPhone 5 devices built for Sprint, AT&T and Verizon. 9to5Mac believes its source to be a reliable one.

Although Apple was initially expected to launch two new iPhone models, that information has been in doubt recently since all evidence has seemed to point in the direction of an exclusive iPhone 4S launch. In fact, white iPhone 4S appeared in both Apple and AT&T’s internal inventory a short time ago. The image to the left is the first we’ve seen of any real evidence of an iPhone 5.

Enthusiasts everywhere will have official confirmation of just what Apple is up to when the company makes their formal announcement on October 4.
