The Enchanted Kingdom: Elisa’s Adventure, from developer Herocraft Ltd, takes the best aspects of some of your favorite game genres and combines them into a fun and lively quest through an enchanted kingdom. If you’re worried about combining game play types, don’t be, because this Android game takes fun mini-games to a whole new level.
The Enchanted Kingdom is a combination of the immensely popular hidden object and match 3 game types. Reminiscent of point-and-click adventures, The Enchanted Kingdom features a robust story line about an orphaned girl who must ascend to the throne of her kingdom by completing a grand adventure. The puzzles are fun and entertaining, and the story helps keep things lively between games.
In another unique twist on a popular Android casual game style, The Enchanted Kingdom adds an inventory system, with items added as you complete the mini-games and advance in your quest. Different mini-games will result in new and unique items for your inventory, which you then use to complete additional objectives. The inventory system and the story will add a solid sense of role-playing to the mix as well. Between games you are brought to a map where you can get a feel for the land over which you are striving to become the rightful ruler.
Also giving the game a unique RPG feel are the style and manner of the quests. You’re not simply collecting items for the fun of it, you’re working toward goals that help the people of the land. Build a dam in the first town to bring water back to the people, then move on to the next and get to work on building a sawmill. Elisa’s quest isn’t just about helping her ascend to the throne, it’s about helping out the people of her kingdom.
The hidden object games will feel familiar if you are a fan of the Herocraft Ltd game designs. Like some of their similar titles, The Enchanted Kingdom offers crisp and clear screens, whimsical characters, and an enjoyable soundtrack. Much of your time racing against the clock in the mini-games will be spent with pleasing renaissance music in the background. The matching games are particularly intriguing and offer a unique twist on the genre. If you’ve played Bejeweled or a similar object matching game then you will instantly recognize the feel of the game, but this time instead of simply moving one jewel to another area you can swipe across as many of the same jewel type as you can find. If nothing else, these fast paced puzzlers will make you a fan of this game.
There are plenty of achievements to rack up in this game as well. Get through an entire puzzle without using a hint? Grab an achievement! Get 8 or more pieces in a match 3 game? Grab another achievement! This style of reward system really makes The Enchanted Kingdom particularly fun.
Overall, The Enchanted Kingdom: Elisa’s Adventure is a fun and lighthearted romp through a magical kingdom. The puzzles are fun, the images are entertaining, and the sounds are spot on. If you’re a fan of puzzles or brain teasers then give this free Android game a download.
