If it’s something we’re not short of it’s air and iWatch concepts, but this one is slightly different from the others we’ve seen before in that it utilises a flexible display.
Flexible displays is something that we’ve seen before on Samsung products, and even recent iPhone 5S concepts, but interestingly not on a device which it makes most sense on. Federico Ciccarese has mocked up a new iWatch concept showing a flexible display and a snap bracelet design.
Here’s our version of iWatch and the image you see we wanted to realize style and functions, in typical Apple design that so fascinates us. In our shell from the futuristic design, we enclosed ideally, the latest version of the operating system for mobile devices iOS7. We have also started prototyping and we have already made the first two copies, one white and the other black, to verify the ergonomics as well as the attractiveness of the object when worn.
iWatch Concept
You’ll notice that the iWatch is running iOS 7, something we’ve heard Apple are trying to accomplish and are having difficulty with regarding battery life. It also has a snap bracelet which enables it to feature a unibody design and all be contained within one piece of material – something Apple products are famous for.
There are definitely some technological boundaries to overcome if this iWatch concept was to be manufactured, and some questions still remain around viewing angles, how screen orientation is detected and executes, together with the obvious battery issues. But, all these aside, it is an attractive iWatch concept and something that definitely looks like Apple would design and would fit in with the rest of Apple’s portfolio.
